All jobs are, inherently, challenging. People choose their jobs on the basis of what their priority in life is: their passion or the money. Therefore, the level of exigency in every jobs varies from individual to individual. One of the most dangerous careers in the world, coal mining demands working in underground mines that are cold, raucous, noisy, dark, and clammy. Breathing coal dust leads to ‘black lung’, a lung disorder which is fatal. Moreover, coal miners are constantly subjected to the trepidation of accidents and explosions.

2. Prison warden

The amount of stress a prison warden has to go through each day of his/her work is insurmountable. He/she has to manage, control and deal with convicted criminals of an entire prison or penitentiary. A prison warden must have nerves of steel and overwhelming patience to be able to deal with imprisoned criminals and their everyday misbehaviors, fights, revolts and so on.

One of the most dangerous jobs in the world is crab fishing in Alaska. They engage in hauling nets and cages that weigh several hundred pounds every day, while on decks full of ice and tremulous water caused due to the violent weather. Moreover, they do this in freezing weather conditions, during incessant rain and snowfall. It is not surprising that most Alaskan crab fishers go completely insane or do not live to tell the tale!

Morticians have to look in the face of death every day for which extreme courage and control over one’s senses is required. Morticians are responsible for preparing dead bodies for burial or cremation. They clean the bodies, mummify them, tidy up their appearance, and dress them up for their final journey. They work long hours every day, as death does not have any fixed timing, and constantly have to handle grieving families, friends and relatives even on weekends and holidays.

Crime scene cleaners cannot be human, to say the least, and must have hearts of stone to be able to cope with what they have to go through every day. Their duties include cleaning up the most gruesome murder scenes, suicide scenes, dead bodies, hit-and-run cases, meth labs, and even houses of hoarders. They are constantly subjected to mutilated human body parts, blood, and other sights of inhuman crimes. They must also properly handle bio-hazardous materials and many such circumstances that require a strong stomach.

However glamorous, luxurious, beautiful and undemanding the lives of models and actors may seem from the outside, the reality is exactly the opposite. Models and actors are the ones with one of the most challenging jobs in the world. Not only do they have to work extremely hard to maintain their beautiful face and figure, they must also take care of their health and at the same time work long and irregular hours for several days nonstop and without rest in some cases.
