Being a nice human being can bring in so many benefits to one as well as to this society. And the positive side is that it does not take much effort to be a nice person. A nice person is happy for others’ happiness and sad for their sorrows. You too can become a nice person by following simple tips listed below. Read on!

1. Be happy from within

You will be a nice person only when you are a happy and content human being. So whatever little you have, learn to appreciate it. Thank god for all the blessings he has given you.

2. Keep a helping tendency

You must help people who are in need to be known as a nice person. And when you do help somebody out of your own interest, do not expect eternal gratitude from that person. You must never publicize what you do for others.

3. Empathize with people

Sympathy is to know others’ pain and sorrow. Empathy is to feel others’ pain and sorrow. To be a nice person, you must empathize, and not simply sympathize. Empathy will help you understand what the other person is suffering in a personal way. And when you can empathize with other people’s pain, you will try to help them come out of it.

4. Make others smile

You must make people around you smile for no reason at all. A hug, a smile or a funny facial expression could do the trick. Be it your family, friends or strangers, give love without holding back. Radiate happiness and take away their sorrow. Bake a cake for your mom or take your brother out to shopping. Simple deeds can make people smile and happy!

5. Do community service

Be an environmental friendly person. Make sure you contribute what you can to the society. Get involved in community service activities. Plant trees and minimize electricity consumption. Use as many recycled items as possible. Stay away from polythene bags and opt for recycled paper bags instead. These things will simply reflect your nice personality.

6. Avoid hurting people

No matter how provoked or angry you are, make sure you do not speak in a way that would hurt others. Be forgiving and accepting. Do not make fun of people who are different. Make an attempt to listen to others. Bullying others or making them feel small is a big NO-NO!
